Course form can be absolutely crucial when looking for a winner. If you know your way around a place, you are going to have an advantage over somebody who has never been there before. The same applies to horses – knowing your way around a venue is always a big advantage. Adrian Wall has picked out three former course winners running live on ITV Racing on Saturday. The treble returns decent odds. Best of luck if you have a play.
Love Envoi has only tasted defeat once in her nine career starts to date and won the Mares’ Novice Hurdle at Cheltenham last term. She hasn’t won a Grade 1 yet but was so impressive in Listed company at Sandown last month and she should be a class apart here in a similar race.
Hitman is best watched after bleeding in the King George and was pulled up so a chance is taken on the consistent Eldorado Allen to take advantage. The Tizzard runner won this race last year and arrives here off the back of a respectable fourth in the King George for all he was well beaten off. This is more his cup of tea.
Greaneteen is far too short a price to back and Venetia Williams’ Funambule Sivola could give the favourite a real race. Second to Energumene in the Champion Chase last term, he has fantastic form figures at Newbury, including when winning this race last year and he is too big a price to ignore back down in class.
