ITV horses for courses: Southwell specialists form huge 190-1 Thursday acca 🏇

The Racing League continues at Southwell on Thursday and will be televised live on ITV. Southwell can be a difficult track that tends to favour horses that have run well there before. With this in mind, Liam Bramall has picked out three runners with proven records at the track. These horses combine into a massive 190-1 accumulator. 5.45 Southwell

Carausius (7-2, bet365) has an impeccable course record at Southwell. Charles Hills’ gelding has four wins and a third to his name in five starts. Three of those wins have come since the switch to Tapeta which is very promising indeed. Having been off the tack for 210 days, he will need to be sharp enough to win here. The break would definitely have freshened him up however, so hopefully he can continue progressing back at his home away from home.

7.45 Southwell

Badri (4-1, bet365) has been in scintillating form of late with two wins and two seconds in his last four. Ruth Carr’s five-year-old has never been better and has the course record to match. In three starts at Southwell, he’s yet to finish out of the first two, winning once. He won a Racing League event at Newcastle last time out in cosy fashion and can continue here despite the 8lb rise. Definitely one to keep on side for now and should run his race.

8.45 Southwell

The Bell Conductor (15-2, bet365) is another with a significant lay-off to overcome. Paul Midgley’s charge hasn’t been seen on the track for 253 days. His unblemished course record is difficult to ignore though with three wins in three starts. Having won cosily over course and distance when last seen, he’s now 7lb higher in the weights. If sharp enough here, he won’t let his perfect record go down without a fight.
