The Racing League returns to Newcastle on Thursday which means there are seven competitive races live on ITV. Liam Bramall has opted for four horses with proven course records. When combined, these runners form a tantalising 6,551-1 accumulator. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing. Trinity Girl (7-1, bet365) has an excellent record in her five starts at Newcastle. Jessica Macey’s mare has won twice and placed a further two times in just five starts here. She was narrowly denied over course and distance by Wynter Wildes in the last Racing League meeting to take place on Tyneside. Now 2lb better off with that rival, she can put in a big performance despite being 2lb higher herself.
Tregony (6-1, bet365) has a 60 per cent strike-rate on the all-weather which is pretty impressive in itself. Significantly, Clive Cox’s filly is defending a 100 per cent record at Newcastle. Progressive of late, she has won her last two starts including a course and distance Racing League win back in August. Currently rated 86, this is a career-high mark but it could be prudent to keep her on side.
Desert Land (8-1, William Hill) is also defending a 100 per cent record at the track, having won his two starts there. Switching to Keith Dalgleish’s yard has given him a new lease of life and his form figures for his new trainer are 121. Both victories have come over course and distance and if dealing with the step up in grade, should run a massive race.
Be Proud (12-1, bet365) is a regular at Newcastle with 25 career starts under his belt. Five of his seven wins have come here and he has also placed seven times. Most importantly, the last of these wins came over course and distance off this current mark of 80 back in February. This course veteran has to be of interest on that evidence and he should go close.
