“It could be a smash up” – Horse backed from 66-1 into 12-1 at Kempton

Kempton Racecourse

Our resident horse racing expert Adrian Wall has always been an avid market watcher. He has spotted a pretty large ongoing gamble taking place in the 6.15pm at Kempton today. Don’t miss out on our posts on Twitter @myracingtips where you can message us directly and have your say. Our free horse racing tips are also available every single day and we have been in terrific form the past few months. Let’s take a closer look at this big gamble in more detail below.

6.15 Kempton

Trainer Michael Attwater has a rather mediocre six per cent strike-rate in 2021. Nonetheless, his runner tonight in the 6.15pm at Kempton has been smashed off the boards. Bear To Dream was as big as 66-1 last night but has been backed into 12-1 generally, and is as short as 9-1 with one firm at the time of writing this post.

Attwater has an abysmal record at Kempton, operating at three per cent in the last five years. Someone out there fancies his two-year-old daughter of Kodi Bear to win tonight though, that is for sure. It wouldn’t take masses of money to shift a horse from 66-1 into 12-1 but it is significant enough each-way support to stand up and take notice.

Bear To Dream was held up in rear when sent off a 40-1 chance on debut at Lingfield over 6f. After watching the replay, in fairness she did stay on well in the closing stages once the bird had flown. With that in mind, she should be much sharper now and the step up to 7f should also suit. It could be a smash up, time will tell.
