We have four meetings to look forward to across Britain on Wednesday but no Irish representation. Jessica Harrington has responded by sending one runner over to Britain on Wednesday. Her sole representative heads to Bath in the afternoon so you might want to look out for the horse in question. We’re going to take a detailed look at her chances of coming away with a winner. Take a look at our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Gangster Granny is set to become Harrington’s third ever runner at Bath and potentially her first winner. She had struggled badly in three of her last four starts but bounced right back when returning to winning ways at Killarney last time out.
Top apprentice Keithen Kennedy also comes over and he has made a big impression already. He’s full value for a 5lb claim, which could make all the difference here. This daughter of Holy Roman Emperor isn’t always the most consistent but is more than capable when on a going day.
There are no guarantees that the shorter trip here will suit but her maiden success came over a furlong further, which offers some hope. A fair fourth off a 3lb higher mark at Yarmouth last summer, she’s entitled to be competitive on that evidence.
It’s a competitive race and Orionis, our Nap of the day, could take some beating. Both of Ralph Beckett’s runners look dangerous too, especially last time out winner Perfect Your Craft. Connections won’t want to come home empty-handed and victory would be good compensation in this £20,000 race.
