‘I think Mullins & Elliott will clean up’ – Adrian shares his 272-1 Cheltenham Day 1 treble 🐎

It is that time of year again where as punters we dream of the big win! Risk it for a biscuit as the ol’ saying goes. I have picked out three horses that I think will have cracking chances on the Tuesday at the Cheltenham Festival next month. Below you will find a screenshot of the bet that I have placed – best of luck if you follow.

Riviere D’etel (7-2)
Arkle Chase
Tuesday 15 March 2.10pm

Classy mare who won her first three starts of the season over fences, winning a Grade 2 at Punchestown by 21 lengths and a Grade 3 at Navan by 12 lengths. She has since been defeated twice but both runs were in Grade 1 company. There was no disgrace in being beaten by Ferny Hollow in the Racing Post Novice Chase and she made him work so hard that he is now out for the season. She was desperately unlucky when beaten by Blue Lord in the Irish Arkle at Leopardstown with a terrible jump at the last costing her. She rallied up the run in but it was too late. The Cheltenham hill will suit and she can reverse the form with Blue Lord.

Stormy Ireland (9-2)
Mares’ Hurdle
Tuesday 15 March 4.10pm

Fell in the Triumph Hurdle of 2018 when travelling well and finished second in this race behind Roksana in 2019. Fifth to Honeysuckle in this race in 2020 but she has a new lease of life since, landing a Grade 1 at Punchestown last season and had a beautiful prep for this race when beating the boys in the Relkeel Hurdle over this course and distance in January. She has a favourite’s chance in the race this year for me.

National Hunt Chase
Tuesday 15 March 5.30pm

I have been waiting for this boy to be stepped up in trip and hopefully Mullins sends him to this race on the Tuesday before a tilt at the Aintree Grand National. He clattered nearly every fence in the Thyestes, was close to being pulled up in rear but somehow plugged on and finished fifth. It was a remarkable effort to my eyes and he could be a monster over extreme trips. I can’t see anything hitting the line harder in the National Hunt Chase. The worry would be staying on his feet but with a clear round I think he has a superb chance.
