‘I just can’t see him being beat’ – Adrian Wall with his Haydock Sprint Cup fancy

Dream Of Dreams win the Sprint Cup

We are just a few days away from what will be a fantastic weekend of flat action as the Irish Champions Festival will get underway on Saturday, September the 8th. However, we also have the Sprint Cup to look forward to at Haydock Racecourse, so what a treat we are in for the weekend. Adrian Wall has gone through the race and has picked out what horse he feels will win the race. Let’s take a look at it now.

Haydock Sprint Cup

Shaquille stands as the clear favourite, and is now odds on with most firms for the upcoming Betfair Sprint Cup at Haydock this Saturday. The race still maintains a competitive edge with 23 horses vying for victory. Shaquille, the deserved favourite, is on the pursuit of a remarkable seventh consecutive win. In his recent outings, he clinched victory in both the Commonwealth Cup and the July Cup.

Meanwhile, Kinross, the second favourite, remains uncertain to participate due to the ongoing warm spell. The Haydock track is currently described as having good ground conditions, with some areas marked as good to soft, and there’s only a slight possibility of a shower towards the end of the week.

I just can’t see Shaquille being beat in this if he is anywhere close to his best. His performance in the Commonwealth Cup was ridiculous. To miss the break by several lengths and still win a race of that stature comfortably takes some doing. He hit 80s and 8s in running in his last two starts so backing him in running could be a solid play here.
