Previous course form is always something to consider when trying to pick out winners. Horses are individuals and can often perform better at some tracks than others. Southwell and Wolverhampton should be safe from the weather on Thursday so we’ve selected three horses with multiple successes at their respective tracks. These include one at Wolverhampton that has won four of his six starts at the track. Andaleep has only won once over 1m4f and has done most of his winning over 1m2f-1m3f, but fortunately for him that sole success came here back in February. Daniel & Claire Kubler’s eight-year-old has been around the block a few times and his narrow defeat at Kempton earlier this month suggests he’s in fair form. Winning two of his three starts at Southwell, it would be unwise to rule out another big run.
Haku clearly loves it at Wolverhampton and his record of four wins and a third in six starts is very impressive. The most recent of those victories came over this trip back in October and his current mark is 5lb higher. Only beaten a nose when second at Southwell last time out, Mark Loughnane’s gelding should run his race once again.
Dark Side Prince has run here 12 times before and has only failed to make the frame twice. Jessica Macey’s seven-year-old was a narrow winner over course and distance back in February 2023 and this is only his second visit to the track since. That was his third win at Southwell and he’s back down to the same mark now.
