Horse who landed controversial gamble recently is backed again at Fairyhouse

Charles Byrnes

Our resident horse racing man Adrian Wall has always been an avid market watcher. He has spotted a pretty decent ongoing gamble taking place in the 4.15pm at Fairyhouse Racecourse today. Don’t miss out on our posts on Twitter @myracingtips where you can message us directly and have your say. Our free horse racing tips are also available every single day and we have been in terrific form this month. Let’s take a closer look at this big gamble in more detail below.

4.15 Fairyhouse

The horse in question is a horse that we are all familiar with, and that is Anyway who runs in the Book Your Winter Festival Tickets Handicap Hurdle for runners rated 80-116 over a trip of two miles. You might remember this horse because he pulled off one of the gambles of the year at Downpatrick in August.

It was a great day for Charles Byrnes, who himself had a couple of winners at the course, but Anyway slid under the radar because he is now trained by David Kenneth Budds. Little did many know that Byrnes was the former owner of the horse and he was backed from huge prices all the way into an even money favourite, and duly obliged by over eight lengths.

Anyway disappointed at Listowel on soft ground when sent off a warm favourite again last time, but it’s interesting to see money come for him again today. As big as 8s this morning, he is now best priced 11-2 but is as short as 10-3 in places. Could connections be having a punt on him again today? Who knows!
