Course form can be absolutely crucial when looking for a winner. If you know your way around a place, you are going to have an advantage over somebody who has never been there before. The same applies to horses – knowing your way around a venue is always a big advantage. Adrian Wall has picked out three former course winners running at Epsom on ITV on Saturday.
We landed a tasty 67/1 treble at Ascot several weeks ago and this week’s treble returns great odds at the time of posting. Best of luck if you have a play.
Our Nap of the Day runs in this contest but if there is one horse who could potentially upset the apple cart, it’s Persica. This boy improved a lot last year, winning handicaps at Epsom and Sandown before nabbing a Listed contest at Ayr. He improved again to win the Earl of Sefton at Newmarket in April and although disappointing in the Lockinge, this is much easier and Ryan Moore is booked.
Small Fry is a model of consistency. He won three times last year, including over C&D, and has got this season off to a brilliant start, culminating with an impressive win at Chester over the extended 1m4f last month. He has a tough mark now but has to be respected given the mood he’s in.
Get It is always dangerous when he’s allowed to dictate things from the front end. A winner of the Stewards’ Cup at Glorious Goodwood last season, a term where he netted three wins, the C&D winner impressed when landing an Ascot handicap last time and could win again.
