Saturday marks the final day of Glorious Goodwood and as such, the ITV cameras will be out. The first four races at Goodwood and two races from Newmarket are set to be shown, so of course we have more outsiders for you. These include two 40/1 tips as well as 25/1 and 20/1 shots. Check out out free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Naina (20/1, Paddy Power) was well beaten in two of her first three starts but finished a close third at Brighton in May. She took a huge step forward when winning impressively over 7f when last seen. John Ryan’s filly put in a powerful display from the front over 7f and the result was never in doubt. Whilst her future lies over further on that evidence, she could be well treated enough to go close over 6f here.
Sheradann (40/1, William Hill) stays well and the 1m6f trip should be a big help to him. He won his last three starts in France over 1m7f and the trip probably didn’t suit at Ascot. Obviously he’ll need to improve significantly on his disappointing most recent effort but he’s entitled to come on for the run and the handicapper has since dropped him 2lb.
Oxford Comma (25/1, bet365) really could be anything and Ralph Beckett’s filly was hugely impressive when winning two novices this season. The three-year-old shaped like a strong stayer on both starts and the step up in trip is likely to suit with that in mind. There are far more exposed runners in this field that are shorter than her and these odds probably aren’t an accurate reflection of her chances.
Dare To Hope (40/1, William Hill) was very unlucky when forced to race very wide in a good race at York last time out. You can definitely mark that performance up and he’s entitled to run well at a big price. It’s also noteworthy that top international rider Vincent Ho comes in to take the ride.
