‘He looks well treated’ – Three horses who will adore soft ground at Ffos Las 🌧️🌧️

Ffos Las Racecourse

It might not be the most attractive card in the world at Ffos Las Racecourse on Wednesday but it is always a place where soft ground horses thrive. Ffos Las is soft on a good day usually and it’s always wise to go with horses who have form in the mud and who stay further. Let’s take a look at the three who I think could go well on at the venue on Wednesday.

1.30 Ffos Las

He handles a fast surface too but Sabbathical has won twice on soft in the past and he will find no issues with the ground in the opening handicap hurdle for conditionals. The gelding won well over fences at Leicester in February and the race probably came a bit too soon when below par at Catterick 12 days later. He looks well treated back over hurdles now.

2.40 Ffos Las

Galante De Romay is yet to find the winner’s circle but positives have to be taken from the fact her best run to date came on ground that was soft when third here over just shy of two miles back in November. She did her best work late that day so this step up in trip ought to suit and it’s easy to forgive her a poor effort at Bangor in November as the sharp track didn’t suit her at all.

3.15 Ffos Las

Valleres has form figures that read 3123 on soft and the gelding looks poised to strike now for trainer Venetia Williams. Both of his wins have come over hurdles to date but he was only having his first run for this yard when a tame third at Chepstow after nearly a year off the track. He should come on bundles for that now and the step up in trip will suit.
