Course form can be absolutely crucial when looking for a winner. If you know your way around a place, you are going to have an advantage over somebody who has never been there before. The same applies to horses – knowing your way around a venue is always a big advantage. Adrian Wall has picked out three former course winners running on ITV on Saturday.
We landed a tasty 67/1 treble at Ascot several weeks ago and this week’s treble returns great odds at the time of posting. Best of luck if you have a play.
Al Aasy is now an 8yo but as good as ever, winning a Group 3 at Goodwood and the Geoffrey Freer at this track last summer and won the Gordon Richards Stakes at Sandown on his return. He won this race in 2021 and might be up to defying the penalty.
Art Market is a son of Guineas winner Calyx and has steadily been improving for William Haggas. Twice a winner last July back-to-back, he came back from a short break when winning over this course and distance on similar ground last month from a mark of 79. He’s up 5lb but could be hard to beat around here again.
Rosallion won the Irish 2,000 Guineas at the Curragh and the St James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot last year. He failed to take his chance in the Sussex Stakes due to a respiratory infection and has been off since, but he is the one to beat if he’s ready to roll. Richard Hannon has been in good form and he should win this.
