Adrian Wall is back with his weekly feast of ITV Racing outsiders and he has picked out three horses who should outrun their large odds on Saturday. Make sure that you check out our free horse racing tips on the website!
I am surprised to see Moon Hunter (10-1) at double-digit odds and had to have a little bet as a consequence. The former point winner made it a perfect two from two over hurdles for Henry Daly when scoring at Doncaster over 2m4f last month. The form of his prior win at Wetherby has worked out very well and he could be anything.
Gary Moore has trained 66-1 and 28-1 winners in recent weeks and there aren’t too many in the game who can improve a horse like he can. Fifty Ball (25-1) is returning from a 293-day absence here but must be respected on his return and he looks far too big a price to ignore in my view. This horse was second in a Betfair Hurdle off a mark of 133 in 2021, and is now running off what is effectively a 6lb lower mark taking the riders’ claim into account. He bolted up at Ascot when last seen back in March and is an interesting runner.
This is a very competitive handicap chase but I am expecting Dingo Dollar (22-1) to bounce back from a tame effort in the Rehearsal at Newcastle. He bounced back from a seven month break to win emphatically at Aintree in a veteran’s race in October. They went a frenetic gallop up front and although he hit 250 in running, when the pace collapsed he really got into top gear and finished off the race very strongly. He will get a strong pace to aim at here and it could happen again.
