Greyhound Syndicate – Update 7 Winners Galore

It’s been a busy few weeks for the Greyhound Syndicate, we are long overdue for an update amidst all the runner by runner Crayford previews when our dogs are in action. Greyhound racing always has ups and downs, the myracing syndicate encountering both in recent weeks. Let’s kick things off with the recent down.

Droopys Hyde

Hyde has been struggling a little bit finding his feet round the track, twice easing out of things at the third bend. On his most recent run, he seemed to forget that he was meant to be turning left at the first bend, coming down in a hideous looking fall. He got up fine and finished the race and thankfully a check up from the vet didn’t throw up any serious problems, but as a precaution Hyde is having a bit of down time to recuperate and make sure that he is 100% ready to get back into action. For such a young pup, a few weeks off won’t do him any harm as he has a bit of growing up to do anyway. Fingers crossed he comes back with a more mature attitude and can add himself to the winner column.

Droopys Nuka

Nuka has really started to show some consistent early pace. Three runs in a row now she has ducked under 3.60 on her sectional, that kind of early pace will continue to be a potent weapon as she looks to further her climb up the grades. She surprised us a little when winning from 5 in an A6 on the 8th of July, as her previous efforts from there had not been in the same league as her runs when clad in stripes. In fact her run in 5 was her quickest so far! She added to that win on Saturday night, pinging out and making all the running in an A5 contest. A career record that now stands at 3/6 is a flying start and with her early pace and 23.75 times, she should be winning in A4 grade sooner rather than later. You can watch Nuka win from trap 5 on the 8th of July below, many thanks to Jim Daly for the video.

Droopys Dazzle

It has been a little feast or famine with Dazzle so far. Her win in A6 was followed by a pair of rough rides up in grade when drawn in 5, both resulting in coming home last. We are still of the opinion that it is wider than she really wants to be but she hit the lids running on Saturday from that trap, clocking her best sectional in the process with a 3.56. Given how well she sees out the trip, she was never going to be coming back to the field, running out a very impressive 3 3/4 length winner in a slick 23.60. She has the times to be competitive in A4 (probably in A3) but she will need to keep that early pace coming to get herself a clear run. As we have said before, anything that she does over 4 bends is a bonus, we are excited about seeing her over further later on in the year.

Our greyhound tips are live before 6.00pm every evening, £400 in profit to tracked stakes so far in July. Congratulations to everyone who was on the double at the weekend, there were some tasty slips seen on the Twitter feed, always great to see followers getting winners along with the syndicate.

We are hoping for both Nuka and Dazzle to be out on Saturday evening (22nd July) as we are having a syndicate meetup at Crayford. Anyone in the area who fancies a night out at the dogs, come down and say hello. The syndicate are a great bunch of people, we are usually on the steps at the far end of the Grandstand towards the kennel block. We look forward to hopefully meeting a few of you there.
