Goodwood ITV Outsiders: Michael Owen horse to run a massive race at 20-1 🚀🚀

Glorious Goodwood kicks off in style on Tuesday with a fantastic eight-race card. The big race of the day is the Group 1 Goodwood Cup. Goodwood isn’t threatened by the field size issues which plague British racing currently. This means there’s plenty of each way action on offer. Liam Bramall has picked out three runners who are capable of outrunning their massive prices. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

1.50 Goodwood

Arqoob (16-1, bet365) got off the mark for the season at Sandown last time out. William Jarvis’ gelding improved significantly from his British reappearance at Epsom two starts ago. After a busy winter in Bahrain, he had three months off prior to that effort and may have needed it. He looks like a progressive four-year-old and another big run is expected here.

3.00 Goodwood

Ever Given (20-1, bet365) doesn’t have much to find to go close here. There is often very little between Listed and Group 2 level over this intermediate trip of 7f. Applying this theory, Hugo Palmer’s colt could well be flying under the radar here. His Epsom win has worked out well with the second winning a Listed race next time out and was just touched off in a Group 3 last time. Course form can often by useful and he is defending a 100 per cent record here having won a nursery as a juvenile last season.

4.10 Goodwood

Lord Riddiford (14-1, bet365) has a very good record here with a strike-rate of 66 per cent. This includes victory in this race last year off a 1lb higher mark. The veteran hasn’t been in the best of form so far this season but having slid down to a mark of 87, he’s a very attractive proposition. Now that he’s exceedingly well handicapped, it’s difficult to believe this current price.
