Guest tipster and Goodwood local Charlie Sharp has another four strong fancies on Day 2 of Glorious Goodwood. We’ve combined them into a Lucky 15 once again and you can click on the betslip above to get involved. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Subsequent will have the red-hot Oisin Murphy on board in day two’s opener at Glorious Goodwood where the conditions look to be drying every minute and this Andrew Balding-trained gelding should relish the quick ground. After winning his last two over this trip and on good to firm ground, I expect him to land the hat-trick today.
Jabaara brings the best form into the race, finishing second behind Porta Fortuna last time out in the Group 1 Falmouth Stakes. Previous to that race, she had won two Listed contests fairly comfortably on quicker ground. She’s the standout performer in the race and it’s hard to look past her.
Celandine ticks a lot of boxes for this juvenile sprint. Her debut was made at Goodwood and experience around the South Downs is proven to benefit most runners. The quick conditions will suit her down to the tee with both novice and Listed success coming on good to firm ground. She should have won in France last time out, but the slower conditions stunted her speed. This should be right up her street.
Henry Longfellow gave a fantastic showing of himself in the St James’s Palace Stakes when being edged out by Rosallion. Ante-post favourite Rosallion was declared a non-runner on Tuesday due to a respiratory infection and I think the race has opened right up for this Aidan O’Brien runner. The National Stakes winner is very versatile when it comes to the ground and he’ll have the requisite speed to win here.
