Gavin Cromwell had a winner at Sandown this week and sends one to Musselburgh ☘️

BORN FOR WAR Ridden by Brian Hughes wins at Musselburgh

Irish trainer Gavin Cromwell is in terrific form the last few weeks and he sent a winner to Sandown during the week in the form of Stumptown who won very readily indeed. Cromwell isn’t stopping there with his British raid, however, as he now sends one runner across to Musselburgh Racecourse on Sunday and this horse also has very strong credentials.

1.50 Musselburgh

The Cromwell horse in question is Clairmc running in the mares’ novice hurdle over just shy of two miles. This is a very weak race of its nature and her Clonmel fifth of 18 runners in October is arguably the strongest piece of form on offer. She didn’t get home over 2m4f that day on heavy ground so the drop back to two miles could really be in her favour. Clairmc is yet to win a race under rules but her best run came in a two mile bumper in the past.

She does get further than this but this could be a very good bit of placement from the Cromwell team, as they were struggling to find a proper winning opportunity for her on home soil. This is Cromwell’s first runner at Musselburgh at least in recent years but he has a formidable strike rate in Britain. Best of luck if you have a play and always bet responsibly.
