Gamble Alert: Willie Mullins horse backed from 18-1 into 15-2 at Roscommon 😱

Willie Mullins after a six-timer at Punchestown

Our resident horse racing man Adrian Wall has always been an avid market watcher. He has spotted a pretty large ongoing gamble taking place in the 7.00pm at Roscommon Racecourse tonight. What makes the gamble more interesting than normal is the fact that Willie Mullins trains the horse.

Don’t miss out on our posts on Twitter @myracingtips where you can message us directly and have your say. Our free horse racing tips are also available every single day and we have been in terrific form this month. Let’s take a closer look at this big gamble in more detail below.

7.00 Roscommon

Backed from a high of 18-1 this morning all the way into a current price of 15-2, the Willie Mullins runner in the 1m4f handicap on the Flat tonight has been very well supported. Indigo Desert will be partnered by Declan McDonagh and the weight of money on this horse would suggest that it could be fancied.

This son of Exceed And Excel won last December at Dundalk when trained by Mick Halford and then he changed yards. He was heavily backed for a Galway handicap (sent off 9-4) but couldn’t get involved, and he ran a very poor race at the same track just a day later.

Indigo Desert ran in the mud both days so it is possible that he hated the ground, and with better ground on the cards at Roscommon tonight, that could make all the difference. Willie Mullins is a master handler and this is a very lightly raced horse, so we should see a big run tonight from a very low handicap mark.
