Gamble Alert: Horse backed from 18-1 into 13-2 at Kempton 📉

Today’s focus will be on the Leopardstown, which hosts the second day of the Dublin Racing Festival. We’re expecting some incredible action, with stars such as Honeysuckle, Galopin Des Champs and Chacun Pour Soi coming out to play.

We’ll have horse racing tips for all the racing, but one horse has caught the eye at Kempton. He’s been subject of relentless support this morning and having started out at 18-1 last night, he’s now a best-priced 13-2. You can find all the details below, including our analysis on this unfolding gamble.

The horse in question is George Boughey’s Anythingtoday, who was previously trained by Roger Fell. In fact, this is his fourth yard, so he’s a well-travelled son of Zoffany! At present, he sits one-pound above his last winning rating, scoring at Lingfield in August in this grade.

Given that he won his opening two starts for Boughey, it’s rather disappointing that he’s failed to muster much in three subsequent starts. Beaten nearly 27 lengths combined, he did show something more back at Lingfield last time, however. Granted, he finished ninth of 10, but he was pushed wide off the turn and he was still only beaten four lengths.

He’s now two pounds lower as a result and dropping a furlong in trip should suit, as he didn’t quite get home over twelve furlongs last time. He also remains unexposed on the All-Weather, winning three of his eight tries thus far. He could feasibly have more to offer on the surface and he’s used to racing in a higher grade.

Drawn fairly and clearly on a workable rating, it’s no surprise that punters have gravitated towards him. He’s still an each-way price and certainly has a big chance of reaching the frame.
