Grand National winning trainer Emmet Mullins is a very shrewd operator and it has to be interesting that all three of his runners at Gowran Park today are attracting support in the market. You can back the treble using the bet slip provided.
Hardy Bloke (11-1 into 11-2) makes his handicap debut over hurdles for the yard today and will carry a featherweight of just 10-5 with Donagh Meyler in the saddle. He has only run one good race in his career and that was a third over fences in a Clonmel maiden hurdle on heavy ground. Beaten out of sight in his last few starts, he is at least running off a favourable mark.
A Cheap Thrill (12-1 into 5-1) is another runner at the yard making their handicap debut over hurdles which is interesting. This five-year-old has never run a good race but steps back up in trip off a basement mark. He has not been seen since February so has had a nice freshen up, and the market vibes would suggest we will see a career best run from this horse today.
Kiss My Lucky Egg was a small bit of a drifter overnight but the money is just about starting to come back in for her now as we type this. This filly won a bumper at Newton Abbot bumper for Noel Williams 142 days ago, enjoying underfoot conditions. That bodes well for her chances today as there is plenty of rain about and she could be another good purchase for the yard who do very well with their bumper runners in general.
