Four Wolverhampton Betting Pointers + 14/1 Each-Way Tip + 8/1 Win Treble!

Wolverhampton Racecourse

Wolverhampton hosts a seven-race card this evening, with the action starting at 5:30. Our Wolverhampton betting tips are on site now – which include our next best bet of the day – whilst our selections for the remaining meetings at Brighton, Listowel, Newton Abbot and Perth can be found on our free horse racing tips page.

Focusing on Wolverhampton, we have found four key betting pointers on the card today, which provides a 14/1 each-way tip – plus an 8/1 win treble.

Long-Distance Traveller – Angels Faces (5.30pm)

The Compare Bookmaker Sites At bonuscodebets.co.uk Fillies’ Nursery Handicap kicks off the action, and the race sees a field of twelve juveniles do battle over six furlongs. Making the 154-mile jaunt from her North Yorkshire base is Angels Faces, who is one of just two runners on the card for her trainer Grant Tuer.

This daughter of Gutaifan has had the three starts to date, with by far the best of those coming when a close third at Haydock last month. She looks potentially well-treated here off an opening mark of just 66, and her yard is currently operating at a 30% strike-rate with their runners at this venue in 2019.

Course Specialist – Charlie D (7.30pm)

The stayers get a chance to shine in this evening’s wolverhampton-racecourse.co.uk Handicap – which is run over an extended two-mile trip. Tom Dascombe had a Group 3 winner at Haydock on Saturday, and he appears to hold strong claims of success in this race with Charlie D.

A winner of his last two starts, this four-year-old gelding has finished out of the first three just once in his seven previous visits to Wolverhampton – gaining two wins – one of those coming at odds of 100/1!

His price is considerably shorter this evening, but it appears to provide a true reflection of his chances – and our tipsters’ rate his claims highly, having selected him in our advised Lucky 15.

Jockey To Follow – Vampish (8.00pm)

Oisin Murphy looks relentless in his pursuit of a maiden Jockeys’ Championship title, and he travels to Wolverhampton today for five rides – with his strongest chance of victory appearing to come from Vampish in the Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Claiming Stakes.

Murphy is operating at a 25% strike-rate at Wolverhampton in 2019, and he is booked to ride for the first time today on the aforementioned Vampish. This filly gained her sole win to date over this course and distance, and she will find this race considerably easier than some of her recent assignments.

With Oisin Murphy currently operating at a 38% strike-rate in claimers on the All-Weather – his presence today looks a notable one.

Trainer To Follow – Court Order (8.30pm)

James Tate has been the go-to trainer at Wolverhampton this year, with eight of his thirty-four runners winning – resulting in a healthy strike-rate of 24%. He has been profitable to follow with his three-year-olds on the All-Weather in 2019, with his runners from that age group currently +4.90 to a £1 stake.

One who fulfils that criteria today is Court Order, who runs in the Stay At The Wolverhampton Holiday Inn Median Auction Maiden Stakes – which is the final race on tonight’s card. This colt went into plenty of notebooks when third on his debut at Nottingham last month, and connections appear to have found him a good opportunity to get off the mark today.

Charlie DVampish and Court Order are all selected by our own tipsters’, and the three combined produces an 8/1 treble, which is currently best priced with Bet365 – who have a sign-up offer available on our free bets page.
