Evening outsiders: 25-1, 20-1 and 16-1 tips from Naas and Kempton on Wednesday 🌙

Embour wins at Kempton under Martin Dwyer

There’s plenty of competitive and quality action on offer on an unusually strong Wednesday. This means there are lots of runners and each-way opportunities. Naas and Kempton are offering an abundance of both so we’ve selected three outsiders at big prices. The horses in question could run better than their odds suggest and are available at 25-1, 20-1 and 16-1. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

7.00 Naas

Dame Kiri (16-1, William Hill) was bitterly disappointing at Leopardstown last time out and that run was too bad to be true. She’s been given plenty of time to get over that and the better ground should suit. Her sole victory came by a margin of 10 lengths in a maiden here back in October over 6f. Bred for middle-distances, the step up to 1m2f should help in theory. Aidan O’Brien has won six of the last 10 renewals of this race and it would be dangerous to underestimate this filly.

7.20 Kempton

Botas (20-1, bet365) is a bit of an unknown quantity on British and stable debut here. The five-year-old’s record an an artificial surface definitely bodes well for his chances here. Winner of four of his nine starts on the all-weather, he should be capable of giving a good account of himself. Hector Crouch takes the ride and his strike-rate of 23 per cent in the last fortnight is very healthy.

7.50 Kempton

George Morland (25-1, bet365) returned from a break with a couple of below-par efforts at Yarmouth. Returning to the all-weather should suit and his current mark is 2lb lower than when winning at Southwell in November. Taylor Fisher was on board that day and he returns to take the ride. We should see a much more competitive performance here.
