It has been a quiet start to the week for Derby-winning jockey Ryan Moore. He had no rides at all on Monday and has only one at Leicester on Tuesday. Moore heads to the Curragh on Wednesday for three nice rides for his regular boss Aidan O’Brien.
He rides a couple of juveniles and will be looking to extend his excellent record of five winners from eight rides on two-year-olds in Ireland so far this season. The third is an interesting filly who should go well on her second start. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Diego Velazquez is an unraced Frankel colt and half-brother to this yard’s high-class performers Broome and Point Lonsdale. If his 2,400,000 guineas price tag is anything to go by, he should be well up to winning this. Eight out of Aidan O’Brien’s 19 two-year-old runners in Ireland have won this season and no one would be surprised if this horse adds to that tally.
Alabama was one of the two-year-olds that Aidan O’Brien was most looking forward to in his stable tour at the start of the season. He finished third on debut over 5f at Cork and shaped as if he would improve for the step up to 6f. Also likely to come on for the run, he’ll be fully expected to make no mistake at the second time of asking.
All Time Great made her belated debut on heavy ground at Leopardstown behind Savethelastdance back in April. Out of a Galileo mare, the better ground here should suit and she’s likely to improve plenty for the run. Going up to 1m4f shouldn’t be a problem and a win could well be on the cards.
