Denis O’Regan travels over to Hereford for two chances to make history 🤯

Denis O’Regan has ridden a winner at every Jumps track in Britain and Ireland barring one. With just one track to go, he travels over to Hereford on Thursday and has two chances to make history. No jockey has ever achieved this feat, although a few have come close. Of his two mounts, one has a better chance than the other and it would be a special day if he manages to grab a winner. 3.35 Hereford

I Giorni seems to have the best chance out of O’Regan’s two mounts. Anthony Honeyball’s mare was victorious here on handicap debut last time out. Showing signs of improvement on her penultimate start, the switch to handicaps clearly suited last time. She’s had just four starts over hurdles so far and is progressing with every run. The handicapper responded to her victory last time out with a 5lb rise which seems fair enough. Clearly on an upwards trajectory, there could be plenty more to come from her. Stamina has looked like an issue in her attempts over 2m4f+ but she’s a three-mile point winner; so this extended 2m3f should be fine.

4.10 Hereford

From This Moment has to find plenty of improvement to figure here. She failed to place in seven starts for Phillip Byrne in Ireland and makes her debut for Henry Oliver here. Her form in Irish points was better which suggests the switch to fences could suit. It’s hard to know what to expect from this mare but this race is probably easier than her previous tasks. Still lightly raced, there could be more to come but there will definitely need to be if she’s to give O’Regan his historic winner.
