Course form can be absolutely crucial when looking for a winner. If you know your way around a place, you are going to have an advantage over somebody who has never been there before. The same applies to horses – knowing your way around a venue is always a big advantage. Adrian Wall has picked out three former course winners running at Carlisle Racecourse on Thursday. The treble returns great odds at the time of posting. Best of luck if you have a play.
It could be a decent day for the Rebecca Menzies yard and she has a good chance here with High Moon. The gelding won a novice hurdle around here in the past and won in gutsy fashion at Newcastle over fences when last seen six months ago. He could take some stopping if he is fit from a break.
Well Educated is the only course winner in this competitive lineup and that win came over track and trip, when landing this very race 12 months ago. He is now 4lb lower in the weights so if connections have him right, he is weighted to go very close.
Giovinco is a very progressive horse who is unbeaten in three starts and looked very smart when bolting up in a Listed hurdle at Perth in April. He is a former point winner so he could be an even better chaser now. Lucinda Russell couldn’t have got her season off to a better start and has some very nice prospects to go to war with this season. This boy is one of them.
