2.05 Chelmsford

Sunset In Paris (80-1) is a huge price here and probably rightly so, but I think he is far too big ignore myself. His run at Kempton in October behind Hickory wasn’t a bad effort at all, beaten just over three lengths over 7f. Ok, he was very disappointing at Kempton on handicap debut but he is a well bred son of Camelot off a lenient mark and I’ll take a chance on him.

2.25 Lingfield

Savoy Brown (10-1) was sixth behind the reopposing Ummsuquaim over course and distance 17 days ago, but that was his first run back after a 70 day break and he should come on a bundle for it. He is a course and distance winner off a mark of 50 in the past and is now 3lb lower, while he also is aided by a handy 3lb claimer in the saddle to boot. Savoy Brown has a nice inside draw to get a handy early position and he looks handicapped to strike.

3.15 Chelmsford

Secret Tryst (33-1) ran a poor race in a 0-65 at Lingfield latest but now drops down into a basement 0-52 rated handicap and he could show more. He didn’t disgrace himself at Southwell from a mark of 55 on his penultimate start and is now running from a 4lb lower mark, while the first time tongue strap could also bring out some improvement.
