Adrian Wall highlights 33-1 & 25-1 outsiders for ITV Racing

We have a brilliant day’s racing to look forward to on Saturday. Over in Ireland Curragh will play host to the Irish Derby where High Definition is set to put his lofty reputation on the line.

Back over in Britain, we have eight races live on ITV to look forward to from Newcastle and Newmarket. Adrian Wall knows how to spot a bit of value and has found three overpriced horses for the action on ITV.

1.45 Newcastle

I just love Jamie Spencer on a straight track and it is interesting that he is booked to ride rank outsider Society Lion here. The Ed Dunlop-trained gelding makes his tapeta debut off a rating of 95. He was well beaten off on seasonal reappearance at Newmarket but needed the run after an absence. Well treated on the pick of his form, he will be held up by Spencer and if they go too hard up top, he might be finishing his race off faster than most.

2.05 Newmarket

Tom Marquand is no stranger to riding huge-priced winners. He will take the ride on the David Evans-trained Fabiosa in this. The Havana Gold filly has come up short in similar company the last twice but did run respectably. An impressive winner on fast ground at Nottingham in April, this is the first time she will be back on a very sound surface so we should see a better run.

2.20 Newcastle

Repartee has has a wind operation since he was last seen and that can have a dramatic effect on a horse, for the positive. If that surgery went well then we could see a bounce back to form for this runner. Third in the Gimcrack in 2019, he was a Listed winner at Windsor on quick ground this time last year and if he can recapture that form he is not out of this.
