Adrian Wall fancies a pair of 33-1 runners to run a huge race on Saturday

Ripon Racecourse

The Great St Wilfrid Handicap is the big race of the day at Ripon on Saturday and Adrian Wall is back with his weekly feast of ITV Racing outsiders. He has picked out three horses who should outrun their large odds on Saturday. Make sure you check out our free horse racing tips for the weekend, and remember, always bet responsibly.

2.25 Newbury

I like the chances of Katey Content (16-1) in this competitive handicap at the prices for trainer Clive Cox. This filly won a pair of novice races over this trip but found life at a higher level tough thereafter. She needed the run in Listed company at Sandown after an absence and could be well treated now tacking a handicap.

2.40 Ripon

The Jim Goldie trained Jordan Electrics (33-1) won back-to-back 5f handicaps in May and will be a danger to all if he can recapture that level of form on Saturday. He had excuses when disappointing at Pontefract as he was drawn in stall 16, and also had excuses at Musselburgh last time out, as he had another wide trip. Now 1lb below his last winning mark, he’s too big a price.

3.15 Ripon

Tim Easterby has won the big handicap of the day twice in the last six years and he has another lively outsider in the form of Hyperfocus (33-1). Another horse with a nice high draw, this lad won here in April off a mark of 93, and he is back down to that same mark now after a few below par efforts. He loves it around this track when he has his act together and the stable is in form.
