8,000-1 treble: Jim Goldie sends his first ever runners to Bath and they’re backed 🚛

Bath Racecourse

Jim Goldie has had his Flat license for 28 years but he has never had a runner at Bath Racecourse, which is quite astonishing. Today, the yard have sent three horses to the track and it is a monster 750-mile round trip from his base to there. All three horses are currently big prices and we have combined them into an each-way treble if you fancy having a go on them! Check out today’s free horse racing tips on the website.

3.25 Bath

Grand Canal is a previous course and distance winner when trained by Tom Clover and that previous course form bodes well for this horse’s chances. He won here two years ago off a mark of 66 and although now 7lb higher, has to be respected. Twice a winner at Ayr last year, he handles the ground and could be a big price.

4.35 Bath

Epona Pas has been off the track 192 days but he has only had three career starts to date so we don’t know how good this boy will be yet. Sent off large prices on all three runs thus far, he makes his handicap debut off a basement mark of 59 and receives weight from the entire field. He is certainly an interesting runner at the prices.

5.10 Bath

Cosa Sara is another runner from the yard off the back of a lengthy absence and she is starting to look really well treated now off a mark of 52. Her last win came at Hamilton from 1lb lower last summer but she was placed off 7lb higher in the meantime. Another with very little weight on her back, she is another interesting runner for the yard.
