7.27pm Crayford Race Preview 25/08/2018

Crayford Greyhound Racing

Droopys Nuka is the second of our runners at Crayford for the myracing.com Greyhound Syndicate today. Our in-form bitch looks to extend her excellent record recently that seen her jump two grades in a matter of weeks.

Today’s preview comes from one of our syndicate managers, David Mitchell.

Today’s Syndicate Runner

Trap 6 Droopys Nuka – Nuka went on a rampage through the grades not too long ago winning two races and finishing a close second in the other. Since then she has ran into trouble with tardy starts from the boxes. We know she’s better than that and the racing manager has been reluctant at this point to drop her in grade. If she can produce a sub 3.60 split she could run a big race.

Today’s Opponents

Trap 1 Shaunas Flame – Coming here on the back of a solid victory and has been upgraded into this company today. That victory wasn’t exactly out of the blue but she’ll find this race much harder to crack. A 23.68 is a very fast time but chances of her reproducing that are slim. If she’s going to win this she’ll need to hold the inside line and get on the bunny but with the upgrade we’ll leave her alone.

Trap 2 Finchley Road – A young improving dog with plenty of early pace at Crayford. Won well last week and has been quickly bumped back up in grade today. Consistent as they come, running solid times in her last 5 appearances. If she can launch from the boxes she’ll have a big chance here and most likely the one to beat.

Trap 3 Crossfield Magic – Clocked a very fast 23.66 on debut and was instantly hit with a double upgrade and but that might not have halted him yet. He turned out last Saturday and blew his chances at the lids, that run you can draw a line through. If he can break better he’ll serve it up to the dog in T2 and potentially to throw his hat into the ring.

Trap 4 Monagea Katie – Stuck in the graders grip at present and hasn’t had much luck in previous attempts at this level. Has won an A5 recently but that looked a weak race on paper. If she wants to get competitive in this she’ll need a personal best and we just can’t see that coming.

Trap 5 Cals Sue – She’s in the form of her life at the minute finishing in the top two in her last 7 starts. With that she’s also been boosted from A7 to A4 in a short period of time. She’s probably reached her level now but her early pace is still a danger to all in this race. If she were to break in-front she would need problems in behind for her to get clear.

Droopys Nuka has bags of early and could really lay it down here. She’s in-form and we go into this race with optimism. It’s probably her toughest assignment for a while with a number of these open to improvement. Good luck girl!
