64-1 accumulator: William Buick heads to Thirsk for the first time since 2011

William Buick is a top class jockey and will have the jockey’s championship firmly in his sights again this year, and the fact he goes to Thirsk Racecourse on Friday for four rides could be a tip in itself that he could have a great day. Buick has not been to this track since 2011 astonishingly, so the fact he goes there must be a sign of intent. He has one ride for the boss Charlie Appleby and three other major chances to form a tasty accumulator.

2.20 Thirsk

Thyer holds all the aces in this race for trainer Andrew Balsing. The son of Gleneagles was third at Newbury over 7f on debut 42 days ago and has been entered into a weak contest with Buick booked for the ride. Any improvement could be enough to win.

2.50 Thirsk

Cinderella’s Dream is his sole ride on the night for his boss Charlie Appleby in the famous Godolphin silks. This horse went off a warm odds on shot on debut when scoring with a fair bit in hand at Lingfield in May, only needing to be pushed out hands and heels. She is an exciting prospect.

3.20 Thirsk

Ingra Tor Wwn twice last term and was a big eyecatcher in second at Kempton over 6f in April, finishing his race off well up against an unexposed horse. Connections have been waiting for decent ground and Buick is a top booking.

4.55 Thirsk

Art De Vivre has run well in three starts and was clear of the remainder when finding just one too good at Ffos Las last time out. A stiffer track like this will help now handicapping off a lenient opening mark.
