593-1 Accumulator: three ITV horses who will love the fast ground at Newmarket

Royal Dornoch beats Kameko

We have had a decent spell of weather so the ground at Newmarket is forecasted to be good to firm this week. ITV Racing actions gets under way at the track on Thursday. A midweek treat awaits us and Adrian Wall has found four horses that should all relish the fast conditions. Please note that the ground can change rapidly so be sure to check that the ground is still fast come post time before you place your bets.

1.50 Newmarket

Mark Johnston has a classy entry in this with French Group 1 winner Gear Up taking his chance down in class. However, it is his other runner who fits the bill nicely. Dancing King completed a four-timer at Doncaster last month on good to firm ground. He was found out at Royal Ascot but is worth another chance dropping down in class.

2.25 Newmarket

Mehmas is a sire to follow and he was a former winner of this race for the Hannon’s in 2016. His son Lusail, also trained by the Hannon’s, will take his chance in the July Stakes and looks a huge price at first glance. He is a very heavy-bodied colt and both of his wins have come on good ground. His other effort when third was on soft. Mehmas did all of his winning on good or good to firm so conditions should be perfect for this strong-travelling front runner.

3.35 Newmarket

Al Aasy is odds on for this race but shouldn’t be. He was beaten out of sight on his only two starts on quick ground. One horse that will adore the conditions is Sir Ron Priestley, who hated the soft ground at Ascot last time out. He made short work of Pyledriver in the Jockey Club and that horse went on to win a Group 1 at Epsom.
