57 per cent strike-rate: jockey with great Ludlow record takes one ride on Monday 🏇

The racing action at Ludlow on Monday looks nice and competitive for the time of year. They have a seven race card to look forward to and there’s something significant about one of the runners in the first race. Jockey Gina Andrews has won with four of her seven rides at the Shropshire track and she takes the mount on Mr Yeats in the Lorna Brooke Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle at 1.30. 1.30 Ludlow

Mr Yeats was fourth over course and distance last time out. The Milton Harris-trained gelding has been in very consistent form since October and hasn’t been out of the first four whilst winning twice in five starts. It’s therefore easy to see the appeal of this horse who is the current favourite in a ten-horse field.

You could hardly ask for a better better amateur pilot especially when considering her exceptional record at the track. Consistency is often key so you could do much worse than side with this five-year-old who is still at an age where progression is likely.

The likelihood is that Mr Yeats has less questions to answer than most of his rivals here so as long as he runs his race he should have a great chance of improving Gina Andrews’ impressive record.
