5.37pm Crayford Race Preview 09/08/2018

Crayford Greyhound Racing

Our second runner of the day takes centre stage at Crayford. Droopys Nuka who magnificently won on our sponsored card on Saturday night aim’s to notch up another victory. As always we’ll have greyhound tips tonight as we look to go through the heats of the category one Gold Cup Competition at Monmore.

5.37pm Crayford 09/08/2018 A4 Grade

Trap 1 Hulks Master – Can’t be discounted here from a lovely draw on the rail. His 23.56 two races ago stands up well in this race and if he were to produce that again he’d be right there at the end of this race. He was given a double upgrade for that effort so he will find this company strong but he’ll have plenty to say here.

Trap 2 Scala Mags – Post season she hasn’t really hit the heights she enjoyed a few months ago. It’s only a matter of time before this dog is winning a race of this nature. If she were to find her fitness today then she would certainly have a decent chance but for us we’ll be giving her a miss until we see her recapture a bit of form.

Trap 3 Bridgeway Star – Arrived from Harlow after reaching top grade in sprints there and has shown a liking for Crayford in his first few races. He has some nice early but he’s really gonna need to go some to get involved in this race. He is surrounded from all sides with early pace and if he wants to be there at the end he needs a 3.55 sectional at least. More negatives than positives for us.

Trap 4 Subterfuge – Dropping in grade like a stone, only a few months ago this dog was competing in A2 grade. If he was to return to form you would give him a squeeze. Until we see some change in his fortune we’ll give him a miss but he’s definitely a dog to follow at this level for connections.

Trap 5 Masoncheekymac – Young dog that has shown he has a fair amount of talent. Probably lacks the early to really challenge at the first bend but his middle gears will serve him well. Recent 5 length win is fresh in the memory but this is much harder. We can’t see him living with Nuka early doors and for us that could be a huge danger for him getting into this.

Trap 6 Droopys Nuka – The star of the moment for the myracing.com syndicate. She won when some 30 owners were there last Saturday much to their delight. She banged out of the lids and led the field a merry dance that day and we expect much of the same today. She’s pacey, in-form and drawn to win. If she can get a flyer she should be getting beaten.

Conclusion

Nuka is the dog to follow here, she has her favourite stripes today and we expect her to launch from the boxes. She’ll no doubt go off a short priced favourite and we can see why. Looking through the field we’d probably have to put up T1 as the main danger. If he was to produce his best then Nuka would really have to go some to catch him.

We have the full race-card for this race and the rest of Crayford today.
