5.28pm Henlow Race Preview 22/04/2018

Greyhound Racing Tips - Crayford

An early evening assignment for Droopys Hyde at Henlow tonight, a similar looking contest to the one that saw him finish fourth last week. Our greyhound tips will come from Towcester and Poole tonight, live on RPGTV, with coverage starting not long after Hyde has finished this afternoon.

5.28pm Henlow 22/04/2018 A5 Grade

Local Lady – Strong runner at this trip but not the quickest to the bend which means she is an ideal dog to have inside Hyde. She has only clocked up a single A6 win, 28.17 her time. She will need to replicate that if she is to grab the victory.

Droopys Hyde – Since winning in this grade on the 4th of March, Hyde has had a tough run of races. Back to this grade last time, he was a little disappointing, back to his old bend checking ways. Slow starter inside should help, with a clear run helpful to his confidence.

Ballymac Sal – Pup has made her way up the grades well, having started in A8. She stays this trip well but 28.25 is the best that she has accomplished so far, like the 1 she is going to need some trouble in front if she is to pick up the pieces.

Express Bally – A2 at Peterborough before joining this track, she is yet to get close to that level of form in limited action at Henlow. Certainly possesses the ability to be better than this grade in time, her times so far suggest she’ll find this difficult.

Mustang Raven – Has missed the kick in both her races so far, unable to beat a rival home after trouble. The racing manager has been reticent to give her a downgrade as such an inexperienced pup can click at any time. Could be a danger at a huge price if hitting the lids.

Tree Top Bubbles – Two lengths in front of Hyde last week, not as good as his run when bolting up in an A6 contest the time before. Has a good turn of early so should lead these up, on the bunny, he could be a tough dog to pick up again.

Conclusion

This looks set up for the 6 to go pillar to post at first glance, a contest that is lacking in early pace. Hyde has a good draw to exploit if he is on a going day with a slow starter inside but he has been a long way short of his peak in recent starts. The 4 should be better than this in time, while the 5 looks the type who could improve from nowhere at any moment given her age.
