40-1 double: Jockey who’s 4/4 at Wolverhampton rides two there on Tuesday

Wolverhampton has been a happy hunting ground for Charles Bishop so far this year. The jockey has had four rides at Wolverhampton in 2024 and is yet to taste defeat. This kind of strike-rate is hard to ignore and he simply has to be the man to follow.

Bishop heads to Wolverhampton for two rides on Tuesday and we’ve combined them into a 40-1 double. We’ll take a detailed look at the chances of each horse below. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

7.30 Wolverhampton

Beauzon (7-4, bet365) has been in the form of his life lately and completed a four-timer here over 6f last week. Ian Williams’ gelding just about squeezes into this 0-68 and carries a 5lb penalty as a consequence of his latest win.

It’s likely that the handicapper will catch up with him at some point soon but he might have another win or two up his sleeve. The drop back to 5f perhaps isn’t ideal but he has won over the minimum trip in the past and he shouldn’t be ruled out on that basis.

8.00 Wolverhampton

Realms Of Love (14-1, Paddy Power) hasn’t been seen in this sphere for a while but ran over hurdles as recently as September and fitness shouldn’t be a problem with that in mind. It’s certainly an interesting move to drop him all the way back to 7f, a trip which he hasn’t tried since his debut in September 2020.

DJ Jeffreys’ charge has one Flat win to his name so far and that victory came at Bath over an extended 1m3f when trained by Mark Johnston back in September 2021. It’s difficult to know what to expect from the six-year-old here but the booking of Bishop is certainly a vote of confidence.
