Course form can be absolutely crucial when looking for a winner. If you know your way around a place, you are going to have an advantage over somebody who has never been there before. The same applies to horses – knowing your way around a venue is always a big advantage. Adrian Wall has picked out 4 former course winners at Nottingham on Tuesday. He has formed an enormous 394-1 accumulator with all four runners, who have solid chances individually. It can be backed with William Hill.
Yagood has won four of his seven races for trainer Joseph Parr this year. The gelding produced by far a career best over two miles here last month, scooting clear to win by nearly five lengths. A 5lb rise in the weights is fair and he is fancied to follow up.
Danzeno is now a 10-year-old but the veteran would have a massive chance in this if anywhere near his best. The conditions of the race suit the gelding who run a three-runner affair at Haydock at the start of July but disappointed in top handicaps since. He is the one to beat on these terms.
Down near the foot of the weights and with the support of a good 7lb claimer, Snow Berry could take advantage of the feather weight. The filly won impressively under this rider over track and trip last month and was left poorly placed at Wolverhampton since so had excuses. The return to this venue could bring out the best in her again.
Intercessor won a similar race to this over course and distance last month and was much better than the bare result would suggest when 4th at Epsom latest, beaten less than a length in a thrilling finish. He has to be shortlisted given the form he is in at present.
