Chanelle Pharma 1965 Chase

Paul Nicholls has won this race seven times. 8 of the last 10 winners of the race have been French bred. This points to REAL STEEL being the winner of the four-runner affair. He is having his first run for Paul at the weekend after leaving the Willie Mullins camp. Last seen finishing 6th in the Cheltenham Gold Cup in March at 50/1, he looked like a winner turning in, hitting a low of 3.55 on the exchanges. He just didn’t last home on the day but he could be a real Ryanair Chase candidate this term.

Betfair Exchange Stayers’ Handicap Hurdle

Trainer David Pipe has won this race three times since 2010 and 10 of the last 15 winners carried 11 stone or more to victory. Those trends point to MAIN FACT being the most solid play in the field. The seven-year-old has won his last eight races on the trot, five over hurdles and his last three on the Flat. He won a Uttoxeter handicap by 15 lengths from a mark of 132 in March so a mark of 147 shouldn’t be beyond him. Fergus Gillard takes off a very valuable 7lb.

Betfair Chase

Colin Tizzard has mopped up this race four times since 2013. Cue Card won it three times and LOSTINTRANSLATION last year. The race is well renowned for having a horse win the race multiple times. Kauto Star won the race four times, Silvinaco Conti won it twice and Bristol De Mai won it twice too. There is every reason to believe Lostintranslation can do the same. He ran a cracker when 3rd in the Gold Cup when last seen. His best days are yet to come.
