28-1 & 25-1 Tips: Adrian Wall’s Saturday ITV Racing Outsiders

2.55 Haydock

Sextant (25-1 at the time of writing), once owned by The Queen, is now in the hands of Straightline Bloodstock and is trained by Keith Dalgleish. He was third in Listed company at Kempton on first start for this yard at the end of last year before bolting up over hurdles at Carlisle. Things haven’t gone to plan for him yet this year but he was far from disgraced at Ascot last time and he is better than his current rating if he puts his best foot forward.

3.30 Haydock

Emaraaty Ana (28-1 at the time of writing) was second in the Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes at York last month. It is a major surprise to see him such a large price for the Betfair Sprint Cup off the back of that effort. He had some top performers like Dragon Symbol, Suesa and Golden Pal behind him on the day. It was without doubt a career-best for the former Group 2 winner and Kevin Ryan’s sprinters have been in excellent form of late which has to be a plus point. If there is a pace collapse again here, and it is possible, then he will be coming late and hard from off the pace.
