25-1 for the Champion Bumper! Allaho’s half-sister makes her debut on Sunday 🤩

There’s a competitive meeting at Naas on Sunday, with a standout runner that is certainly noteworthy. Willie Mullins is set to run Allaho’s half-sister in the concluding bumper and she’s currently available at 25-1 for the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham in March. This means there will be plenty of interested parties, especially if she possesses even a fraction of her illustrious sibling’s ability. 3.45 Naas

Shaving is the debutante in question and there will be plenty of interest in how she gets on. Her full sister was also a three-time hurdle winner and there’s enough evidence in her pedigree to be confident of a good run. As is usually the case with Willie Mullins’ bumper runners, you’re unlikely to get much of a price here but it’s all about the big one in March.

Willie Mullins was the top trainer at Naas last season, with a strike-rate of 39 per cent and a total of 13 winners. This certainly bodes well for Shaving’s chances. especially when combined with the fact that her jockey had a 60 per cent strike-rate at the track last season. Mullins has already had a whopping 35 bumper winners this season, at a strike-rate of 53 per cent and that’s a formidable record.

The race itself is almost irrelevant as it’s likely that there’s more interest in the impact on the Champion Bumper market but surely an impressive victory here would see her price slashed for the big race. Having said that, expectations will be high on her debut as she has plenty to live up to.
