174-1 horses for courses accumulator for Saturday’s racing

Mister Fisher wins the Supreme Trial Rossington Main Novice Hurdle at Haydock

Saturday’s ITV Racing tips comes from Musselburgh and Haydock, with further meetings at Fairyhouse, Cork, Carlisle, Newton Abbot and Wolverhampton. You can find all our multiples on site, including a NAP of the Day and Lucky 15 tips.

On a busy Saturday with racing on both the flat and over obstacles, I have highlighted some horses with course form that it may prove useful to follow. They can be backed in a 174-1 accumulator and the reasoning is below!

If you back any of our selections you can watch them live on the free Racing Post app or racingpost.com. Simply log in to one of your bookmaker accounts and click ‘Watch live’ on the racecards.

1.50 Musselburgh – Marshal Dan

Heather Main’s Marshal Dan was a winner over course and distance last October,  taking that contest comfortably and this represents a slight drop in grade.

That win was part of three wins from five runs on turf last season and this gelding can go on any ground. He was below par last time out at Newcastle but the return to the scene of his last victory can restart the progress of last term.

2.05 Haydock – Chti Balko

A true course specialist, this nine-year-old has had eight runs here and only been out of the frame once. He is just a pound higher than his December win at this venue.

Talented conditional Theo Gillard also claims five and this hardy veteran should be involved at the business end of this race.

3.58 Carlisle – Storm Nelson

Storm Nelson is a horse whose form has taken a huge step forward since moving to Sandy Thompson’s yard. After a long absence, he has taken two handicaps in quick succession and looks primed for another big run here.

Winning over this course and distance just six days ago, he is turned out quickly under a seven pound penalty. To add to this, Brian Hughes takes over in the saddle, a man who is keen to ride as many winners as possible in his charge for the title of Champion Jockey.
