150-1 ITV horses for courses treble: three track lovers to follow at Ascot on Saturday

Course form can be absolutely crucial when looking for a winner. If you know your way around a place, you are going to have an advantage over somebody who has never been there before. The same applies to horses – knowing your way around a venue is always a big advantage. Adrian Wall has picked out three former course winners running live on ITV Racing on Saturday. The treble returns tasty odds. Best of luck if you have a play.

2.25 Ascot

Al Aasy has had a very good year, winning three times, including the Group 3 Rose of Lancaster Stakes at Haydock. He finished second in the Group 2 Paddy Power Stakes last time, probably given too much to do and he’s taken to gain compensation here. It will be interesting to see how the market transforms as Israr, who runs in the same colours as Al Aasy, is also in the race and is worth monitoring.

3.00 Ascot

Dark Trooper is a hugely progressive son of Dark Angel who arrives here looking for a five-timer after four wins in handicap company on the bounce. This is another step up in class and will demand much more, but he is a thriving horse and is a dual course and distance winner.

3.35 Ascot

Popmaster won here over 6f in July and was only narrowly beaten by the hugely progressive Quinault over track and trip last month, with a good few of these rivals behind. He won a heavy ground 7f Newbury Listed race when last seen on heavy ground but is ground versatile and is well in despite running off top weight.
