146-1 double that suggests a successful German invasion at Wembley

There are evening meetings at Stratford, Chepstow and Roscommon tonight but all eyes will be on Wembley where England take on Germany in the last 16 of Euro 2020. England are yet to concede a goal in the tournament, though sadly my eyelids have lost their battle with gravity on each occasion.

We have had a look over the racing today and found what could well end up as an appropriate 146/1 double come 10pm tonight. The double is best price with 888 sport.

For those wanting a bet on the game then head on over to freesupertips for their full match preview and a 204/1 Bet Builder!

2.30 Brighton – Racing With Pride Handicap

Weardiditallgorong is something that England fans could well be asking themselves tonight. Playing a negative brand of football that would make a Jose Mourinho team look gung ho has at least produced positive results so far, but with a lack of any semblance of attack and Harry Kane doing his best Ann Stokell impression up front, things have been tough.

This Pat Phelan-trained handicapper is an inconsistent performer who does have a course and distance win to his credit and another entry on Thursday which is interesting. This is a low level and one he is capable of winning at if on a going day.

4.20 Hamilton – hamilton-park.co.uk handicap

Scotland has already seen a Euro Implosion at the tournament and will be hoping that not only this horse wins in their country at Hamilton this afternoon but England suffer the same tonight. Keith Dalgleish has this horse back in winning form, arriving looking for a hat-trick of successes.

He twice won off higher marks than this in 2019 so he is still well enough treated on the best of his form. He does his best work when things go his own way, a soft lead on the front end seeing him to best effect. If he can get himself on the front, he has a claims to win again.
