With nine races on ITV this Saturday, there’s plenty of reason to be excited for the weekend! Races from Ascot, Wetherby and Down Royal will be broadcast on ITV4, including the Grade 1 Champion Chase from the latter venue.

The feature race of the action in Britain is the Grade 2 Charlie Hall Chase, which features the return of Cyrname. We’ll have ITV Racing Tips for all nine of the races on a bonanza Saturday of terrestrial action!

Gigginstown’s Domain

It’s probably little surprise to any, that Gigginstown have dominated the Champion Chase at Down Royal. With so much ammunition at their disposal, their horses tend to fill the page of any racecard for the top races.

Quite remarkably, Gigginstown have owned the winner of eight of the last nine renewals of this Grade 1 contest. It’s not just been favourites either, with Outlander scooping the prize at 16/1 in 2017.

DELTA WORK has an excellent chance to make it nine of the last ten renewals for the juggernaut owner, making his seasonal return on the back of a fifth-place finish in the Cheltenham Gold Cup. A dual Grade 1 winner last term, his jumping steadily improved, and he looks set to make amends for a 2/1 defeat twelve months ago.

Brilliant Bailey in red-hot form

The jump’s season has started off with a bang for Kim Bailey. It’s been difficult to back against the Gloucestershire based trainer, with winners flying in from all angles. Since the season began in June, he’s sent out 104 horses, with twenty-one returning winners. That’s a 20% strike-rate, but it’s been even better of late.

In the past two weeks, he’s sent out ten winners from twenty-seven runners, a formidable 37% strike-rate. That will give a boost to fans of VINNDICATION, who looks to build upon a pair of solid runs last term.

He was last seen hauling top-weight around at the Festival in the Ultima, finishing a herculean fourth in the circumstances. A big season awaits the unexposed seven-year-old, who has excellent claims of running the sting out of an unproven three-miler in Cyrname.

He might now be a twelve-year-old, but REGAL ENCORE has undergone wind surgery and makes his return at a venue he could easily call home. He’s raced at Ascot on eight occasions in his career, winning three times for Anthony Honeyball.

Perhaps more crucially, if you backed him each time he ventured to Ascot, you’d be in a £37.00 profit to level stakes. Despite his age, it’s hard to dismiss him in a contest he finished second in twelve months ago.

He was defeated by a runaway winner that day, but he’s just three pounds higher this time around. He seemingly finds extra when he comes to Ascot and you wouldn’t want to be against this spritely venture.
