10.26pm Crayford Race Preview 29/07/2017

Greyhound Syndicate

Droopys Nuka just failed to shut the door in time on the winner last week in front of the myracing greyhound syndicate night out. She still came home a very honourable runner up on her first run at this A4 level. Straight back to work tonight, she has shown enough to suggest she can win in this grade sooner than later, will that be tonight? Our greyhound tips will be live later on this evening, £854 in profit in July to tracked stakes!

10.26pm Crayford 29th July A4 Grade

Aghareany Magpie – Like Nuka, this June ’15 bitch has climbed her way up the grading ladder from A8 grade. She is yet to break 23.90 at this track which is going to need improving on to get her competitive tonight. She is starting to trap with consistency though, 3.58-3.61 the last three times out. Her chance lays with beating the inside to the punch at the bend.

Solo Uno – Things really clicked for him last week, his race best sectional was precursor to a new personal best overall clocking. He is going to find it more difficult to get on the bunny if the 1 comes away and he has a little to prove that he can repeat that run anyway given how far above the rest of his form it was.

Rocky The Legend – A familiar face, climbing the grades alongside both Nuka and Dazzle. Sent off favourite for 12 of his 15 career starts, he is likely to command a large market share once again tonight. He clocked 23.56 when winning an A6 earlier in the month, that would make him hard to beat if able to repeat, but that was the only time he has had a quicker sectional than 3.63, he needs to ping to lead up the 1.

Coolruss Josh –  As high as A3 earlier in the year, he boasts solid 3.60 early boot. His best times top out about 23.75, which might be enough if he is able to get a clear run, but with plenty of early pace on his inside, he is going to have to trap clever to avoid potential trouble at the opening turn.

Gem Master – Wide margin winner in A6 and A5 grades in June and July, despite a 3.61 sectional being his quickest. He is 0/7 when clad in orange here, so the loss of stripes has to be a concern. Looks very unlikely to lead up in a race with so much early pace so looks set for a struggle.

Droopys Nuka – Stripes is her favoured jacket and with a slow starter inside in 5, she looks to have an excellent make up tonight. She has clocked a 3.58 sectional or quicker in 5 of her 7 career starts, her consistent early looks like giving her a great chance to lead up. Her last 3 runs have all been in the 23.75-23.84 bracket so she is showing remarkable consistency for one so young. Whether that time is quick enough to win this contest is open for debate, but turning in front will give her a huge chance

Conclusion

Plenty of solid early across the line-up, but Nuka looks pick of the bunch to turn in front. The 3 seems to always get sent off favourite and the same is expected tonight, but it’s far from obvious that he has the pace to beat the 1 to the bend. A tangle there behind Nuka could set her clear down the back and on to her fourth success in her first eight starts.
