‘£1 could return £1,022 at advised prices’ – Mud lovers Lucky 15 for Chepstow 🐎

Chepstow Racecourse

At the time of writing this piece, the ground at Chepstow Racecourse is soft, heavy in places. The ground promises to be very tacky and with that in mind, we have picked out four horses who should relish the muddy conditions on Sunday.

All four horses have been combined and have been put into a Lucky 15, which can be backed using the ready made bet slip above. Let’s take a look at the chances of all four runners below.

1.10 Chepstow

Grasse D’Oliverie is having her first run in Britain for trainer Alex Hales and she will be a force to be reckoned with if she is ready to go off the back of an absence. She was a wide-margin winner of a mares’ hurdle at Cagnes-sur-Mer 12 months ago and has only raced on soft or heavy ground.

1.40 Chepstow

Moonlighter’s jumping leaves a lot to be desired and it really holds him back, but if he can put together an even half decent round of jumping, he should win this. He again travelled like a winner at Ffos Las latest only for mistakes to cost him again but he is so far ahead of the handicapper now that he remains one to keep onside for now.

2.10 Chepstow

First Lord De Cuet has very good form in the mud and arrives here in form off the back of a second to a solid Paul Nicholls horse at Ffos Las in December. He travelled powerfully that day and a repeat could be enough here.

3.10 Chepstow

Billingsley may be an 11 year old now but he is another who adores cut in the ground. He was a close up third in a better race that this at Bangor on his seasonal return and was twice a winner on heavy ground here over hurdles.
