7.15 Chelmsford

Dark Side Prince has been all the rage for the 5f handicap at Chelmsford tonight, backed from the available 6/1 this morning, all the way into 7/4 at the time of writing this article. Please note that prices are subject to change and when you read this, the price might have fluctuated significantly.

Trained by Jessica Macey, the five-time course and distance winner actually won this contest back in 2021 and the 8yo is fancied to do the business again tonight. The son of Equiano loves it around here and although only sixth and fourth in his last two outings around here, he was beaten only a length or two each time.

Dark Side Prince last won in May 2024 around here off a mark of 67 and he is now 10lb lower in the weights so must have an obvious chance. He is a horse who always gives his running and the capable Alistair Rawlinson will take the ride.

He will have only five rivals to beat and the weight of money suggests he should do the business. Best of luck if you have a play.
