Our resident horse racing man Adrian Wall has always been an avid market watcher and the big gamble of the day that he put up on the site yesterday was a winner! He has spotted another pretty big ongoing gamble taking place in the 5.40pm at Kempton Racecourse today.

It’s not too often you see a major punt on a horse that is having her first racecourse start but the Owen Burrows-trained Moonlit Surf has been backed as if defeat is out of the question in the 7f fillies’ novice at Kempton Park this evening, with Sean Levey taking the ride. For those stat lovers out there, Levey is 4-41 or around 10% in the last two weeks, if that’s of any use to you, while Burrows is 2-11 or operating at around 18%!
This 2yo daughter of Oasis Dream is a half-sister to Wave Rider who was a winner over 1m2f and achieved a RPR of 101, while her dam is an unraced half-sister to Kitesurf who won the Group 1 Prix Vermeille over 1m4f at Longchamp, and Surfman who finished third in the Dante.
Burrows’ yard has a decent record of 8-37 with 2yos this year and after being hammered from 6/1 this morning all the way into 6/4, clearly connections feel that she will be up to the job first time out.
