It’s always a good idea to consider course form when trying to pick out winners. Horses are individuals and therefore some tend to perform better at certain tracks than others. So with that in mind, we’ve selected four horses to follow at Wolverhampton on Monday with proven course records. Pysanka has been pretty consistent of late and the five-year-old was victorious here over 1m4f in September, which was his fourth course win. This is just his second attempt at 1m6f and after keeping on at the one pace to finish fourth here over 1m4f last time out, perhaps the extra couple of furlongs will help.
Jazzy Angel has two wins and a second to her name in just three starts at Wolverhampton. She returned to winning ways with a game success over a furlong further in October and it’s definitely interesting that connections have dropped her down to 6f for the first time.
Power Over Me was entitled to need the run at Kempton last month as it was the seven-year-old’s first start in 1194 days. The gelded son of Ivawood has won both of his previous starts at Wolverhampton and his last visit resulted in a comfortable two-length success off this very mark.
Starfighter was clearly in need of a break when below par at Haydock in June and appeared to be lacking sharpness on his first start for 150 days at Kempton last month. Three of the eight-year-olds four all-weather victories have come at Wolverhampton and he should be capable of winning off this mark.
